This morning I was reading news and thought that I wanted an rss feed of new DVD releases.

I have a crazy remote control for my TV at home. For the months it has been acting up and unreliable, I was about to spend about $500 to replace the two units from the manufacturer but this evening I decided to turn things off in my cabinet until the problem went away. Turns out the ethernet card I added to my TiVo was causing RF interference with the remote! I ripped it out and everything is good now!! While I liked telnet-ing to the TiVo and running scripts like TiVo web its not worth the remote acting up!

I really like the VoIP idea, I have a Vonage phone, already video and voice chat with my brother with Apple iChat and look fowrward to using SkyPe. The fact that the FCC ruled in a petition that voice communication between two people with a PC is more like an email than a phone call is very interesting.

I went to the CambridgeSide Galleria this weekend and there was a new store there called IRIS. It was full of digital devices like: digital cameras, cell phones, iPods, mp3 players, remote controls, small bookshelf stereos, notebook computers and tivo’s.

I really should finish my bottlehead foreplay before I get another one but this jolida looks like so much fun!

So I was wathing Wall Street Week on Saturday night and they had a piece on the Hollywood Stock Exchange!. I could not get to the page so I did some investigating. Their DNS registration had expired with Gandi! So I went to the Gandi registrars website and paid the 11 Euros to reregister it for them. Think they will try to reimburse me or even notice?

I love these JDM Panasonic Radio’s especially the gold tubed cd player. And I hope audio cubes will import it for me.

I have a new vonage phone that two times allowed me to hear the caller but they couldn’t hear me. I thought a good way to examine this problem would be to run mrtg on my cable modem’s SNMP counters. Turns out my paticular Cable modem, a 3com CMX, is very hard to monitor. Thanks to these great pages about a java program named DocsDiag with more info that one could expect!
